Rob is often referred to as the guy organisations call on if your business has a particular aspiration that needs to be achieved or you have a problem within your business that needs to be fixed. Rob typically works on an Interim or Contract basis to fix an underperforming project, rolle out a MOS prpgram, deliver revenue increases, optimise operational structures, cut costs, reduce headcount, create fast profit improvements and set the organisation up for ongoing viability and sustainability. Rob has some 30 years experience in senior management, business development, project management and operational management roles including leading the performance improvement of businesses that have reached a ceiling in their growth trajectory or are in decline or distress and need rapid operational and financial improvements.

As an Executive Director, Interim Manager and CEO, Rob has led strategy and company turnaround efforts to successfully transform ASX listed, family owned and privately owned companies within various industry sectors across Australia and Asia.
In former roles, Rob has acted as a CEO and Managing Director, Chief Operating Officer, Executive General Manager, an Interim CEO, Interim CFO, Interim Vice President and as a member of the Audit and Risk Committee.
Over the past 12 years as a Management Consultant, Interim Manager and Transition Manager, Rob has led many Management Operating System deployments, project and operational optimisation assignments and business improvement & growth programs across Australia and Asia to deliver revenue growth, operational optimisation and profit improvements for ASX listed, family owned and privately owned businesses.
Rob has conducted Interim Management assignments for the likes of X-PM Partners the worlds leading transition management firm and many assignments for GLG (Gerson Lehrman Group) an expert network that operates a membership-based platform providing independent consulting services to business professionals around the world.
Rob has also been engaged by the Top Tier Consulting Firms like McKinsey & Company and Partners in Performance (PiP), to work alongside their consultants adding considerable insight into various operational optimisation, business improvement & strategy development projects across the sectors of Mining Services, Mine Production Improvements, Automotive, Mining & Construction Equipment Manufacturing & Distribution, Industrial Product Distribution, Wholesale Distribution, Food Processing, Oil & Gas Upstream & Downstream, Resources, Energy and Professional Consulting Services.

RECENT ASSIGNMENTS
Improved the profitability of a subsidiary business of a multinational company in the professional services sector by 2% within 3 months. Took out $1.5 million in salary & wages costs, exited poor performing contracts, restructured the management team setting new levels of accountability. Revived a flagging sales culture and redesigned the tenders & contracts department to secure some $35 million of new contracts.

Developed and implemented an operational optimisation program for a food processing business delivering operational cost reductions of 6% within 4 months and created a streamlined operations team reducing employee costs by 6%.

Developed & implemented a lean management program to improve the operations of a logistics and distribution company delivering improved DIFOT rates of 18%, cost reductions of 6% and profit improvements of 2.5% over a 3 month period.

Integrated a recently acquired business in the mining services sector, lowering operational expenses by cleaning out excess duplication costs by some 6% across 3 operating divisions, improving asset utilisations by 7.5% and operating profit by 10% overall.

Developed and implement the strategy to restructure the Australian business of an engineering services company delivering renewed commercial and technical services program that secured multi-million dollar technical service contracts whilst lowering operating cost structures by 4% and improved profitability by 3.5% inside 90 days.
